Santo Nino de Cebu, have mercy on us!!!

Every year around this time the Filipino Community of our Parish gathers to celebrate a great religious and cultural feast from their homeland, the Santo Nino de Cebu! Rooted in the earliest days of the Spanish colonization of the Philippine Islands, the Santo Nino de Cebu recalls the tender love of Jesus for both the Filipino People and for all of God's children. Though related to the more familiar Infant of Prague devotion (more familiar for Europeans and those who descend from that cultural and religious heritage!), the Santo Nino de Cebu celebrates all that is best in the Filipino culture. The Mass and the Fiesta afterwards were marvelous times for our entire parish community. Thanks to the Fil-Am Club for sponsoring this year's Santo Nino de Cebu Fiesta and thanks to you for being a part of this year's celebration by viewing these pages!

Are you ready? Don't drop it!

And don't you drop yours either!

No, Father, I will not drop this one!!!

The "main" Santo Nino was enthroned in a place of honor in the sanctuary.

A Filipino priest from San Jose, Fr. Arthur, was the main celebrant.

As always, the Fil-Am choir provided fantastic music!

Thank the Lord for great musicians!

Luminarias showed the way to the Parish Hall for the food and fun after Mass!
