The Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Empress of the Americas, is December 12^th. However, this morning, December 9, 2001, our Hispanic Community gathered some 450+ strong at 6:00 AM for the traditional Las Mananitas al la Virgen de Guadalupe, a service of prayer and song honoring the Virgin of Guadalupe! A local Mariachi Band provided music, with the community joining in on the songs. After "Las Manaitas" were concluded, the community processed to the Parish Center where they gathered for some hot chocolate and Mexican Sweet Breads before they return to Church for La Misa Espanol at 12:30 PM! During La Misa the story of the Apparitions will be retold in dramatic form.
